Tagmora keeps media and metadata local while using a narrow technical data contract.
Tagmora is a local-first desktop application. Cloud services are used for signed updates, connector delivery, and limited technical usage data.
Technical usage data
When Tagmora can reach Tagmora Cloud, it automatically sends a limited set of technical product events. There is no in-app switch to disable this technical data. Events can include the application version, operating-system family, CPU architecture, update channel, an allow-listed event name and count, and a random installation identifier.
The installation identifier is randomly generated by Tagmora. It is not derived from hardware, your Windows account, your stock accounts, or your media.
What is not included
Approximate country and city
The desktop client does not send location fields. After Tagmora Cloud accepts a valid technical event, Cloudflare can provide approximate country and city information from the network request. Tagmora stores those coarse values with the event.
The technical event dataset does not store the connecting IP address, forwarded IP headers, GPS coordinates, postal codes, ASN, or ISP information.
Update checks and downloads
Application and connector update checks send the technical information needed to determine whether a compatible release is available. Release downloads are served through Tagmora Cloud and verified by the desktop application.
Infrastructure
Tagmora Cloud currently uses Cloudflare services for the public API, signed release delivery, connector packages, protected administration, and storage of the limited technical event data described above.
